We started the hike up to the next lake in the series, Long Lake, and didn't plan on going further to Isabelle Lake, but as it turned out, we couldn't even circle Long Lake because of the snow and mud. The area had only opened for hiking a few weeks earlier, and will not fully emerge until July.
