Exploring The City of Guilin, China, December, 2008
We arrived via the sleeper train to the large, beautiful city of Guilin. After finding a great hostel, we explored several of the city's parks, climbing three of the karst peaks in one day. We walked all over the city, and used it as a base for explorations north to the Longsheng rice terraces. It was a crazy, bustling, fun city. We ended up staying in our hostel a total of two nights, walking ourselves numb, before heading south to Yangshuo.
