First Weekend Trip To California
San Diego, CA, January, 2009
Jess and I had a few days to head to San Diego, where she wanted to meet up with one of her old college friends. We made the 6 hour drive on Friday morning, and checked into a great little HI hostel on Point Loma. We explored Pt. Loma that afternoon, then had dinner with Jess's friend. The next day, we explored the Balboa Park area in San Diego, then spent the afternoon lounging on the beach. We ended up having a dinner with Jess's friend again that evening. Finally, on Sunday, we explored the coast again before heading back to Arizona, through the myriad and interesting landscapes that lay in between. It was Jess's first time in California, and a great little weekend trip.
