A Jaunt Through Wine Country

Being in the Bay area necessitates a visit to the wine country of Sonoma and Napa Valleys. We headed up for an overnight visit, which was not only fun but educational. For example, we learned that while Napa and Sonoma are the best known regions for wineries in California, they actually only contribute a small percentage of the grapes grown here. They are well-known because they are the best regions for vineyards. They also happen to be beautiful, especially with the vines beginning to make their fall changes.
