Camping In Yosemite Nat'l Park
Yosemite, CA, October 10-11, 2010
We camped a night in Yosemite NP, which is about four hours from the Bay Area. The park lived up to its legendary reputation, of which I'd heard of since childhood. Arguably one of the top park in the US after Yellowstone, it boasts huge rock formations, a valley of killer views, wildlife such as bears, deer, and elk regardless of the human crowds, and great hiking. Our late season visit limited what must be huge summer crowds, and an 11-mile hike was simply spectacular, breathtaking in more ways than one. Pictures only begin to do justice to this park.
