Visiting Chugach State Park
Anchorage, AK, July 19-20, 2010
We visited a friend in Alaska while he was there on a travel nurse contract. We spent a week exploring, fishing and camping. Chugach State Park is a huge park (relative to the parks in the lower 48), to which Anchorage abuts. We spent a day near the city, as well as a day near Eagle River, where we came face to face with a grizzly (and took pictures to prove it). The Chugach is a great park, but just a small taste of Alaska.
