Holidays & More In Chile
December 16, 2009 - January 16, 2010

We've been to Chile before, myself twice, Jess once, and we have great friends there. We spent a week in Santiago with them, then headed south to Loncoche to spend the holidays in their hometown. On New Years, we tiredly boarded the Navimag ferry in Puerto Montt, and four days later found ourselves in Puerto Natales. There, we did an 7-night, 82.3 mile hike around the Circuit of the Torres del Paine NP, something I've wanted to do since 2002. With one of our hiking mates, we headed then to Punto Arenas, the most southern city in the Americas and our last stop in Chile. From there we rode a bus up to Calafate, Argentina. Once again, Chile didn't let us down, there's always something new and exciting there.
