Stopping Off In Malaysia

We made a couple night stop in Penang, Malaysia, on our way down from Ao Nang, Thailand to Singapore to catch our flight to Australia. We didn't care much for Penang, nor did we like our hostel owner at all. Malaysia seems like a beautiful country, I wouldn't say that it is a terrible place based on our experience, and I'd need another encounter to really know if I liked it. Suffice to say, though, we weren't too sad to keep heading south to Singapore, though we did like the wildlife that we saw in Penang.
