Into Africa: Two Weeks In Morocco
September 9 - 21, 2009

It was an easy ferry ride across the Strait of Gibraltar from Tarifa, Spain to Tangier, Morocco. Once in Morocco, we jumped on the legendary Marrakesh Express train that had us down in Marrakesh late that evening. That city was crazy, the vendors relentless, but it was a great experience nonetheless. We headed off for a several day trip desert excursion, on which we met some great folks and even rode camels out into the Sahara Desert to camp overnight. Later we visited the towns of Essaouira and Chefchaouen, two beautiful and fascinating places. Overall, it was a great experience, seeing this North African country, its culture, its food, and its people.
