I was able to try out some different settings on my Nikon D70s that I hadn't before, in particular the preset motion option. I didn't particularly care for it, and ended up going back to the normal settings, and just adjusting manually. The presets can be inflexible in some situations, you can't get the camera to quickly adapt--or maybe the user.
