The sunset that evening was simply beautiful, and the place was utterly peaceful. Most of the people there had tents, and we longingly imagined camping out there in Petrohué. We'll have a tent the next time we're in the area. That night, however, I simply collapsed into my musty bed, wrote in my journal by light powered by the generator they'd cranked up after sunset, and passed out until the alarm woke us at our normal hours of 7 am.
