Of course, the next morning we drove back, starting early. We took the scenic route through Taos, and not including the breaks we had, it was nearly a nine hour trip. It was good to see the land, though, it was truly beautiful. We were once again accompanied by dramatic clouds, even a rainstorm. So, despite my hesitation to go, it turned out to be a nice trip after all.
