After I'd explored the mountain roads north of Pecos, I headed back the other way, into the scrubbrush hills. There I found the Pecos National Monument, which is an old pueblo that is being restored. I took a lot of pictures there, since I had a good vantage point, and the clouds were pretty dramatic.
