One of the challenges of photographing this environment was the temptation to just snap shots of wide landscapes, to try to capture the enormity of the land. Yet this type of photography is futile, it's usually impossible to just capture a huge range. It's better to have some focal point in the picture, something that draw attention. Hence the challenge, looking for something to make the photo poignant.
