As a child, my grandparents lived up Big Thompson Canyon west of Loveland. It was a place of imagination and fun for me, being right on the river, and being able to explore the hills behind their house. Being in the mountains were among the most peaceful and enjoyable times that I remember. They had a special place in my heart.
